Art Pursuits Abroad Ltd, which was formerly called Art Pursuits Ltd, was founded in 2000 as an independent extramural programme offering study days, private views, and trips. In 2011 the company changed to focus and specialise on study tours abroad.
About Art Pursuits Abroad
Joachim Strupp, the founder of Art Pursuits Abroad, is an art historian with a specialisation in Italian and German art of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. After ten years as a lecturer at the universities of St Andrews and Buckingham, he now lectures independently for organisations such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, the John Hall Pre-University Course in Venice (johnhallvenice.co.uk), Martin Randall Travel and a number of Europe-based American academic programmes. He has published articles on Italian Renaissance art and has appeared on radio.
Joachim is the tour lecturer for many of the study tours and his popularity has continued to grow. He is an enthusiast, as well as being an expert, and his personal approach has resulted in many clients being regulars on the tours.
We can also offer study tours in other locations (or alternative programmes) tailored for organisations or groups to suit the particular interests of the audience.
