| Bruce Bailey FSA |
Bruce Bailey is a well-known Northamptonshire country house historian,
who is currently archivist at Drayton House, and to the Spencer Estate
at Althorp. He is on the advisory panel for the Landscape Gardens at
Stowe and also has been involved with the Royal Commission on Historical
Monuments in Northamptonshire. |

Bird |
Dr Wendy Bird specialises in Spanish art and art of the eighteenth
century. After spending twenty years in Spain as a painter/printmaker
and art historical investigator she is now Head of History of Art at
a school and a sessional lecturer at Birkbeck College. She has published
articles and is preparing a book on popular culture in the work of Velazquez
and Goya. |

| Dr Roberto Cobianchi |
Roberto Cobianchi studied art history at the Universities of Parma,
Milan and Warwick. For several years he was based at the British School
at Rome. Roberto is currently Fellow at Villa I Tatti (Harvard University)
in Florence and has been appointed assistant lecturer at the University
of Messina in Sicily. |

| Dr Cecily
Hennessy |
Dr Cecily
Hennessy studied for her BA and MA in the History of Art at the University
of Washington and went on to gain a PhD in Byzantine art history at the
Courtauld Institute of Art. She has taught at universities in the USA
and
the UK and was head of Short Courses and Adult Learning at the Courtauld
Institute of Art before joining Christie's Education as a lecturer in
2006.
Her book Images of Children in Byzantium, was published in December 2008. |

Juliet Heslewood is a freelance lecturer who spends much time in France,
where she leads study tours on French art and architecture. She has written
several books including three on art for young people. |

Hodgkinson |
Judith worked for many years at Northampton Museums as Keeper of Social
History, where she was responsible for the furniture collection. Since
2002 she has been a freelance lecturer and country house guide. |

| Dr Sally Jeffery |
Sally Jeffery is an architectural and garden historian. She has lectured
and published extensively, and was until recently historian with the
historic buildings team at the City of London Corporation, where she
researched buildings, parks and gardens belonging to the City. She helped
to set up the Birkbeck MA in Garden History and is principally interested
in the period from the Renaissance to the end of the eighteenth century. |

| Oonagh Kennedy |
Oonagh Kennedy trained as a jeweller and is a Courtauld Institute graduate.
Formerly a curator at Luton Hoo and part-time lecturer at the University
of Buckingham and Birkbeck College, she is now a curator for the National
Trust and lectures in French Decorative Arts and Historic Interiors. |

Key Minnebo has been an independent lecturer and guide in Antwerp since
1983. She is a respected specialist in the field of guide ethics and
techniques. Over the years her expertise has often been sought by organisers
of major cultural projects in Flanders, such as Antwerp's Rediscover
Rubens scheme in 2004, for which she co-wrote a walking tour through
the city. |

Paula Nuttall is a specialist in Renaissance art. She
obtained her Ph.D from the Courtauld Institute of Art and was formerly
a lecturer in art history at the British Institute of Florence. She
is Renaissance Course Tutor for the Medieval and Renaissance Year Course
at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and also lectures for the Courtauld,
Christie’s Education and NADFAS. She is the author of From
Flanders to Florence: the Impact of Netherlandish Painting, 1400-1500 (Yale
University Press, 2004). |

Cathy Oakes is an art historian with a background in Museum Education
(The Victoria & Albert Museum) and academic art history, She currently
holds an academic post at Oxford. Cathy Oakes has published work on Romanesque
art and architecture and aspects of Christian Iconography in the Middle
Ages. She has lectured widely in Europe and the United States for universities
and private organisations, including NADFAS. |

Richard Pailthorpe is a chartered surveyor, historian and former estate
manager for the Duke of Northumberland, He currently manages an estate
in Sussex. |

Sue Rollin was tutor in Ancient Near Eastern History at University
College, London and has also taught courses at the School of Oriental
And African Studies, London and at Cambridge University. She has
worked as an archaeologist in several countries and has travelled
widely. She now lives in London with her family and works as a
freelance lecturer, tour guide in the Middle East and India and conference
interpreter for various international organisations. |

Jo Rhymer works in the National Gallery Education Department and is
a freelance lecturer. Her areas of interest include art from the nineteenth
century to the present, particularly French and British painting. |

Nicola Smith is an architectural historian and co-founder and director
of Art Pursuits. She has worked at the sharp end of heritage conservation,
as a historic buildings inspector for English Heritage, and as a lecturer
in art history, first at the University of Buckingham and now independently
for organisations such as NADFAS and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
She has published a number of articles and books, and has appeared on
television and radio. |

interpreter. Born and brought up in the West Indies, she has travelled
widely in Latin America and the Middle East. |

Joachim Strupp specialises in Italian and German Renaissance art. He
has been a university lecturer in art history, first at the University
of St Andrews and then at the University of Buckingham. He now lectures
independently for educational organisations such as the Victoria & Albert
Museum and the John Hall Pre-University Course in Venice. He has
published a number of articles and has appeared on radio. He is
co-founder and director of Art Pursuits. |

Dr Antonia Whitley Art historian and lecturer with a particular interest
in the art and architecture of the Italian Renaissance - her PhD from
the Warburg Institute (University of London) was on an interdisciplinary
study of Sienese society in the fifteenth century. She has published
articles on related topics and lectured for the National Gallery. Has
led many tours over the last 13 years and currently lectures for King's
College (London University) on their master's degree programme. |

Caroline Wickham-Jones is an archaeologist specialising in the early
settlement of Scotland and has for thirty years worked on Orkney, where
she now lives. She is the author of books including Scotland’s
First Settlers, The Landscape of Scotland and World
Heritage Orkney, and is the presenter of BBC Radio Orkney’s
award-winning programme Orky-ology. |

Richard Wigmore is a music writer, broadcaster and lecturer, specialising
in the Baroque and Classical periods, and in Lieder. He contributes regularly
to the Daily Telegraph, BBC Music Magazine and Gramophone, broadcasts
frequently on BBC Radio 3 and gives classes at the Trinity College of
Music and at Birkbeck College. He has also led many tours for Martin
Randall Travel (including the Schubertiade and the Salzburg summer and
winter festivals) and Habsburg Heritage. Richard has published Schubert:
the complete song texts (Gollancz) and is currently writing a study of
Haydn’s life and works for Faber. |
