This tour will open your eyes to Venice’s artistic treasures from
the Middle Ages to the era of the Grand Tour. After a private view of
San Marco we will follow the development of Venetian art from late Gothic
to the early Renaissance with the workshops of the Vivarini and Bellini.
In the 16th century Giorgione, Titian, Tintoretto and Veronese took painting
in the city to its glorious peak. The splendour of their colouring was
revived in the 18th century in the works of Sebastiano Ricci, Giambattista
Tiepolo and Antonio Canaletto.
