Syria lies at the crossroads between Orient and Occident. Throughout
history traders and armies have traversed its mountains and deserts,
navigated its rivers and sailed into its harbours. From Babylonians to
Arabs, many cultures have left their mark. We explore Crusader castles,
Byzantine churches, Roman fortresses on the Euphrates, Classical caravan
cities. Included is a visit to Baalbek with its immense temples. Ancient
ruins, bustling oriental bazaars, spectacular desert and mountain landscapes

This Art Pursuits study tour includes:

This tour will operate with a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 22 participants.
Not included:
Travel Insurance. We strongly advise you to be covered by adequate
travel insurance.
Practicalities
Passports for those travelling to Syria on this tour must be valid until
at least April 2011. Please note that anyone with a passport bearing
evidence of entry to Israel will not be allowed to enter Syria. We will
obtain the necessary group visa for those travelling with the group.
Price
The price of this tour is £2,650 per person, based on two
people sharing. Single room supplement £440 (the amount the
hotel charges us).
